It didn't.
And I have to admit that I'm ok with that because I accomplished other things and I'm trying to focus on what I have accomplished rather than what I have not. I finished the PTA newsletter to be printed and given to teachers on Monday. I made it most of the way through a giant bag of crap (papers, receipts, etc.) that has been mocking me for at least two months. I made it to three stores to return things I bought for Christmas presents but realized it was overkill while I was wrapping things Christmas Eve (to the tune of $85). I used my Toys R Us rewards bucks before they expired for Brandon's birthday present ($11!). I do have to go back to Toys R Us tomorrow to use the $6 that is good starting tomorrow (using it for a $6 green Lego base plate). I scored a Lego Creationary expansion pack for $1.98 while there. I cleaned the kitchen. I cooked dinner (HUGE). I picked up a great, all wood, coffee table I found on Craigslist for $30. For Brandon's birthday present I am making him a DIY Lego table. I am super excited about this and can't wait to give it to him. I'm going to do it Monday while he's at school (stay tuned for a tutorial blog post). Tomorrow is going to be pretty busy (XMA at 10 am, Tastefully Simple party at 2 pm) but I think I should be able to squeeze in some garage time. All in all, today was a good day.
I just spent 15 minutes trying to find a quote that I thought I had pinned on Pinterest that is one of my new mantras in life. It went something like "Look to how far you have come rather than to how far you still have to go." I really think this has been one of my problems, one of my "mental blocks" to accomplishing or finished things. I'm always overwhelmed by how much there's left to do instead of focusing on how much I have done. Not any more dammit. I will always be a clutter bug, I will probably always be a procrastinator but no longer will I be a "multi-starter". I have come far and I will continue to move forward.
That is an impressive list of accomplishments!!
